MILLIONAIRES IN BRITAIN
INCREASE OF NEARLY 40 IN 1936

The Board of Trade figures show that there were 334 millionaires in Britain for 1935-36, an increase of nearly 40 over the previous year. Eighty-five incomes exceeded £lOO,OOO, 71 were between £75,000 and £lOO,OOO. Marriages for 1936 exceeded 400,000 for the first time since 1928.
