CHARGE OF FORGERY
SECRETARY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL REMANDED FOR SENTENCE (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 12. In the Magistrate’s Court Kenneth Johnston Russell was charged with forging the name of J. Arnold to withdrawal receipts for £lO and £5 on the Dunedin Savings Bank. It was stated that accused took a pass book belonging to Arnold, a fellow-worker, and made out false withdrawal receipts. Accused stated he had used the money to pay his debts to Sunday School boys and to give prizes to the Sunday School. He was secretary of the Sunday School. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
