POSSIBLE REVISION OF OTTAWA PACT
AUSTRALIA TO CONSULT ALL INTERESTS CANBERRA, January 12. The Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons) said that before any revision of the Ottawa Agreements was attempted the Australian Government would consult the interests affected. Mr Lyons made it clear that trade negotiations between Britain and the United States, the revision of Ottawa and the negotiations between Australia and the United States for a trade pact were all linked. WASHINGTON TALKS NOT PREJUDICIAL LONDON, January 11. The political correspondent of the Australian Associated Press understands that the Anglo-Australian talks on the Ottawa Agreements will not be prejudiced by the Anglo-American discussions, the trend of which will be communicated to Australia in ample time before the reported arrival of the Australian delegation in April.
