LONGING FOR FREEDOM AS GUARANTEE BERLIN, December 25. When broadcasting Christmas greetings to Germans abroad Herr _ Rudolf Hess, deputy-leader of the Nazi Party, declared that Germany again possessed a feeling of peace and security. “There is no talk of war danger here; in fact, we do not want war,” said Herr Hess. “We also know that men and women of other nations do not desire war. The strongest guarantee of peace in Europe is the longing for freedom of the industrious and honest peoples of all cultures and nations.” t
