MR CHURCHILL TO JOIN CABINET
NEW SECRETARY FOR AIR
PRIME MINISTER’S OFFER ACCEPTED (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received December 27, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 26. The Sunday Referee learns that the Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) has invited Mr Winston Churchill to join Cabinet, and it adds that he is agreeable to do so. Mr Churchill will succeed Viscount Swinton as Secretary for Air early in the New Year. Viscount Swinton is in delicate health.
