MILFORD TRACK POPULAR
Australians Pleased With Visit “MOST PICTURESQUE WALK” TRIP UNDERTAKEN BY 25 TOURISTS (Special to The Times) DUNEDIN, December 27. Recent Australian visitors to New Zealand are loud in their praises of all they have seen of the South Island since disembarking from th<s Maunganui to walk over the Milford Track. The Milford Track itself has fulfilled their expectations.
Miss L. Bastrup, who came from Melbourne, told a reporter that it was the most picturesque walk she had ever made. Miss Bastrup has her tour of New Zealand planned so that she will see a good deal of the West Coast before going from Nelson to Wellington and then to various scenic resorts of the North Island. The 25 Australian visitors, all of whom have been charmed with the Milford Track have had individual itineraries mapped out and Miss Bastrup said that although she had been with a number of them at Queenstown she might not meet any of her fellow tourists again until she sailed from Auckland next month.
