NEW ZEALAND’S SHARE OF SYDNEY PROFITS (United Press Association) SYDNEY, December 21. Mr T. Howard, a former treasurer of the Cricket Board of Control, criticized the New South Wales Cricket Association at a meeting last night for the high cost of the recent New Zealand match. The gate receipts for the match were £448 and the net profits £136, of which £lO2 went to New Zealand. The costs were 43 per cent, of the takings. Mr Howard said he did not think Australia was looking after New Zealand properly; no one could cavil at the brightness of the New Zealanders’ play. The executive agreed to consider the position of New Zealand and it was left to the executive to consider the question of forwarding New South Wales’s share of £34 to New Zealand.
