STRIKE IN AEROPLANE WORKS IN FRANCE
NEGOTIATION REFUSED BY MANAGEMENT (Received December 9, 11.55 p.m.) PARIS, December 9. A “stay-in” strike has started at the Caudron aeroplane works at Issy les Moulineaux because of the dismissal of of 22 men, for whom, according to the management, there was insufficient work, which the strikers dispute. The Air Ministry is making efforts for a settlement but the management refuses to negotiate while the works are occupied.
