BEQUESTS BY TOBACCO MAGNATE

RUGBY, December 6.
Grants to hospitals and various charities amounting to £43,000 have been made by a charitable trust created in 1928 shortly before his death by Mr Bernard Baron, the tobacco magnate. Grants under the trust are made every year on the anniversary of his birthday. Since its formation the trust has distributed £385,991.
