Winds.—Variable with westerlies predominating in the north and elsewhere east to north, force mainly light to moderate, but freshening at times in exposed positions. , Seas. —New Zealand waters, rather rough at times on parts of the east coast and Cook Strait, elsewhere slight to moderate; eastern Tasman sea, variable winds with light to moderate northerlies predominating, seas slight to moderate.
