LINER TO BE BROKEN UP FOR SCRAP
LEVIATHAN’S STEEL FOR NEW WARSHIPS (Received December 7, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 6. It is stated at Glasgow that the liner Leviathan, which has been sold by the United States Line to Metal Industries (London), will be broken up at Inverkeithing and most of the steel will be used again by Scottish ship builders, some for new warships.
