GAS BOMBS DISPERSE DEMONSTRATORS
POLICE PROTECT FORD WORKS AT KANSAS CITY (Received December 7, 7.50 p.m.) KANSAS CITY, December 6. Forty policemen, hurling gas bombs, dispersed between 300 and 400 demonstrators at the Ford assembly plant. The demonstrators arrived in cars and moved towards the plant, where 15 policemen were on duty. Patrol cars brought reinforcements in response to a frantic summons by wireless. Their bombs speedily drove off the demonstrators. The regional organizer of the UnitedAutomobile Workers issued a statement declaring that the demonstration was decided on to show the solidarity of the union for the Ford workers.
