LUMSDEN THE WEATHER

During the month of November rain fell on six days only for a total fall of 1.26 in. The greatest fall was .82in on the 16th. The rainfall for the latter half of the year is well below the average and for the past five months only 6.08 in have been registered. Warm north-westerly gales were in evidence for the greater part and the shade temperature was continuously high for several days, reaching 88 degrees on the 27th. The exposed parts of the Northern District are now bearing a parched appearance, but a recent rainfall has helped conditions temporarily.
