EDENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ SPORTS

SOUTH WYNDHAM WINS SHIELD The annual sports meeting of the primary schools in Wyndham and Edendale districts was held on the Edendale recreation, reserve recently under ideal weather conditions. Ten schools competed, and the number of entries (over 500) constituted a record. Handicapped according to the grade of the school, the teams finished fairly even, Wyndham South being the winners of the shield for the first time. Actually, Wyndham scored most points, but off scratch had no chance against some of the other schools. Last year’s winner, Mokoreta, was third, one and a-half points behind Menzies Ferry. The following table of points shows the positions of the various teams: —
