EXTENSIVE SURVEY OF SOUTH ISLAND
OFFICIALS FROM AUCKLAND (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, September 17. An extensive survey of South Island roads and tourist resorts, which is being conducted by three oficials of the Automobile Association (Auckland) with the view to obtaining first-hand knowledge for the association’s information service, is now nearing completion. In a report presented at a meeting of the council, the touring manager stated that the party had covered a distance of 3500 miles during the first three weeks of the tour.
