NEW EXPORT BUTTER STORE

Foundation work has started on th< new export butter store of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Limited, on the reclaimed land adjacent to King’s Wharf. This work will occupy about six months, after which the general constructive work of the sevenstory building will begin. When completed in about two years time the plant will have a capacity for storing 500,000 cases of butter with the despatch of about 2,000,000 boxes annually and will, therefore, be the largest store of its kind in the world.
