FALL FROM LADDER Raymond Conley, aged 25, living in Chapman street, while cleaning and fixing electric lights in the railway yard yesterday, fell 15 feet from a ladder and received injuries and abrasions to a shoulder. He was admitted to the Southland Hospital. CARS COLLIDE A collision between two cars occurred at the corner of Preston and Main streets, Gore, yesterday morning. The front axle on one' car was badly twisted and a mudguard was crushed in, while the other car practically escaped damage. It is understood that no one was injured. ATTEMPT TO BOARD MOVING TRAIN (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 15. An attempt to board a moving train at Petone this morning cost Nancy Watson her life. The fatality occurred at 8.24 a.m. She caught at the carriage, missed and was hit by the next one. Several carriages passed over her body.
