AMERICAN JUDGE ON TOUR (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, September 3. By his own confession, “common curiosity to see what was at the other side of the world” brought Judge J. H. Carmichael, of Little Rock, (Arkansas) to New Zealand in the Mariposa. Formerly a special Judge of Supreme Chancery of the circuit courts of Arkansas, Judge Carmichael terminated his services on the judiciary about 20 years ago after a distinguished legal career and he is now Dean of the Arkansas Law School.
