STRIKERS THROW BEES AT POLICE
FIRE BRIGADE SUMMONED TO QUELL SWARMS MONTREAL, August 23. The strikers introduced a new weapon against the police guards at the Dominion textile mill, at whom they hurled hives of bees. The police fought with the swarms for several hours and finally summoned the fire department, whose hoses routed the bees.
