The wedding was solemnized in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Invercargill, on Monday, July 12, of Fairlie McKenzie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Camie, Mokoreta, and Geoffrey Irving, eldest son of Mr and Mrs James H. Howes, Invercargill. The Rev. C. J. Tocker performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of pale pink silk lace made on long slim-fitting lines, with a rucked panel skirt falling in full folds from the knees. The bodice had a plain neckline finished with a spray of pink orange blossom, and there was a row of buttons down the back, and on the long close-fitting sleeves. The folded lace belt had a brilliant buckle. Her pale pink embroidered veil was worn off the face with a halo of pink orange blossom, and her bouquet was of cream chrysanthemums, narcissi, maidenhair fern and touches of pale pink cinerarias to match her frock.. Miss Elizabeth May (Betty) Carme, was bridesmaid for her sister, wore a long Empire gown of white and blue floral georgette, with a square, neckline and flared cape. The skirt was frilled, and the sleeves were long and close-fitting. A sash tied at the back marked the waistline. Her wide hat of white straw had blue flowered trimming, and she carried a bouquet of cream chrysanthemums, narcissi and maidenhair fem. Mr Irvine Baird, Invercargill, was best man.

At the reception, the guests were received by Mrs Camie, wearing a navy ensemble with hat to match, and Mrs Howes, who wore a black dress 'with coat and hat of the same colour. Both carried bouquets of flowers made from wood pulp by Mrs Howes. CLEARWATER—FRAME The wedding was solemnized in the Wyndham Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 14, of Jane Smith, second daughter of Mr and Mrs William Frame, Fairview, Wyndham, to Frederick Ivan, second son of Mr and Mrs R. F. Clearwater, Kennington. The Rev. G. D. Falconer was the officiating minister, and Mrs D. N. A. Macpherson played the organ. The bride entered the church with her father. She wore a model Empire gown of cream angelskin lace, slightly trained. Her veil of embroidered tulle was held in place by a halo of bride’s blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, narcissi, maidenhair fem and asparagus fern with narcissi streamers and ribbons. Miss Annie Frame attended her sister as bridesmaid. She wore a slim-fitting frock of apple green lace, with a cowl neckline, shirred shoulders and full sleeves. Her bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums, roses, asparagus and maidenhair fems. Mr R. A. Clearwater, of . Waimate, brother of the bride, was best man, and Mr William H. Frame, the bride’s brother, was usher. As the bridal party left the church, the bride was presented with a silver horse-shoe by her niece, Miss Marjorie Mitchell, of Brydone. The reception took place in the Masonic Social Hall, where the guests were received by Mrs William Frame, who wore a navy pin-stripe costume with shoulder spray and fur stole, and a navy velour hat. She was assisted by Mrs R. F. Clearwater, who was dressed in a floral frock under a black trimmed coat, and a black hat. When the young couple left on their honeymoon, the bride was wearing a rust satin royal model frock trimmed with gold, under a nut brown coat with a sable collar. Her brown velour hat was trimmed with a rust quill, and her accessories matched. The future home of Mr and Mrs F. I. Clearwater will be at Mataura.
