RIFLE SHOOTING

A team from the Anzac Boys’ Rifle Club fired a match against the Invercargill Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club last evening. The shooting of all competitors was excellent for two newly-formed clubs. For the boys F. Penman scored 78, closely followed by R. Ure 76, and J. Luxton, 74, and for the ladies’ club Mrs Robertson shot an excellent 79,

After the match Mrs Graham welcomed the members of the boys’ club and expressed the hope that many more matches would be arranged. In reply, Mr D. G. Davis, president of the boys’ club, thanked the ladies’ club for its hospitality and wished it every success.
