TROTTING CLUBS
SOUTHLAND AND OTAGO The following dates have been applied for next season by the trotting clubs in the Otago and Southland districts:— October 21, 23. —Forbury Park Trotting Club. October 25.—Oamaru Trotting Club. October 30.—Invercargill Trotting Club. December 4.—Wairio Trotting Club. December 27, 28.—Gore Trotting Club. December 29.—Winton Trotting Club. January 27, 29. —Forbury Park Trotting Club. March s.—lnvercargill Trotting Club. March 19.—Wyndham Trotting Club March 19.—Winton Trotting Club. March 26. —Roxburgh Trotting Club. March 23, 26.—Forbury Park Trotting Club. May 7.—Oamaru Trotting Club. May 12, 14.—Forbury Park Trotting Club. There are several changes in dates from last season. The Forbury Park Club has applied for October 21 and 23 which, if granted, will clash with the first day of the Gore Racing Club’s spring meeting. The Invercargill Trotting Club has decided to split its twoday meeting usually held in March and has applied for October 30 and March 5, both Saturdays. The Forbury Park Trotting Club has also applied for March 23 and 26 if an extra permit is available. If granted, the first day would clash with the opening day of the Oamaru Jockey Club’s autumn meeting.
