LUDENDORFF’S ATTACK

To The Editor

Sir,—Your leading article this morning about Ludendorff’s utterances is not pleasant reading. Even an insignificant writer against Britain proclaims a truth when he says that two and three make five. So Ludendorff’s utterances may be those of a German propagandist and yet they may be true. It is true that the British Empire is weak and rotten. It is true that the “Anglican clergy in league with the unholy machinations of the Roman Church” are causing the downfall of the British Empire. These statements I could prove but for the only freedom of the Press which New Zealanders enjoy, the freedom of Press to suppress freedom of thought.—Yours etc., J. P. DAKIN. June 15,1937.
