QUARRY FOREMAN COLLAPSES
(United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 16.
Shortly after starting work this morning, Alan Miller, aged 56 years, married, a quarry foreman, collapsed and died at the Mount Wellington Road Board’s quarry. He ’ was a returned soldier and leaves a widow and family. He had enjoyed good health and had been employed by the board for ten years. No warning was given of his collapse. It was only when the workmen saw him stagger and fall that they realized he was ill. He died before the doctor arrived.
