Egypt at sunrise, England by sunset, is the record of the Imperial Airways flying-boat Cassiopeia, which carried 14 passengers, crew of five and 30cwt. of mails and freight. Halts were made for refuelling .at Athens, Brindisi, Rome and Marseilles. . The Cassiopeia reached Southampton after a flight of 15 hours from Alexandria, its average speed being 150 miles an hour for the 2300 miles.
