FAST FLIGHT BY FLYINGBOAT
EGYPT TO ENGLAND IN 15 HOURS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received May 24, 8.40 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. Egypt at sunrise, England by sunset, is the record of the Imperial Airways flying-boat Cassiopeia, which carried 14 passengers, crew of five and 30cwt. of mails and freight. Halts were made for refuelling .at Athens, Brindisi, Rome and Marseilles. . The Cassiopeia reached Southampton after a flight of 15 hours from Alexandria, its average speed being 150 miles an hour for the 2300 miles.
