Duff Cooper), speaking at the Institute of Industrial Psychology, said: “I believe the experiment of issuing blue uniforms for the troops attending the Coronation will be a success. I hope to extend it to the whole army after the Coronation.” ILLUMINATIONS IN LONDON BUILDINGS TO BE FLOODLIT (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, April 22. About 200 London buildings will be floodlit during the Coronation celebrations. Most of these buildings, which include Buckingham Palace, the Horse Guards, Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the new County Hall are situated in the West End of London, but many in the city including St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Mansion House and certain prominent buildings on the south side of the Thames will also be illuminated. JOURNEY DOWN THE THAMES ROYAL VISIT TO GREENWICH (British Official Wireless) (Received April 23, 6.30 p.m ) RUGBY, April 22. The King and Queen will on Tuesday make a journey in the barge of the Commander-in-Chief down the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich for the formal opening of the new National Maritime Museum. Their Majesties will be accompanied by the First Lord of the Admiralty (Sir Samuel Hoare). They will drive to Westminister pier where they will embark in a procession led by the Port of London Authority launch and including four motor torpedo boats which will form up in midstream and the Royal salute will be given as the Royal barge goes by. TO TRAVEL ON SKATES AN AUSTRIAN VISITOR VIENNA, April 22. Karl Riemer, aged 52, an unemployed Viennese, is setting out for London on roller skates on April 25 to see the Coronation. From Calais to Dover is the only stage on which other form of transport will be used.
