TIME ALLOWED FOR SMOKING
APPEAL AGAINST DECISION (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, April 22. An appeal has now been lodged on behalf of the Whangarei Borough Council against the decision of the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr R. E. Price) on April 17 last in permitting employees under the award, a period of ten minutes each day for smoking. The grounds of the appeal, which will be heard before the Court of Arbitration in Auckland, are that the finding of the Conciliation Commissioner was erroneous, both in fact and in law.
