AUSTRALIAN CROWN PIECE
ISSUE ON CORONATION DAY CANBERRA, April 22. The acting Treasurer (Mr R. G. Menzies) anounced that a new coin, a crown piece, would be issued for circulation on May 12 (Coronation day). The obverse side portrays the uncrowned head of the King, and the reverse side shows the crown.
