SHIRLEY TEMPLE EIGHT TODAY (Received April 22, 10.35 p.m.) HOLLYWOOD, April 22. Shirley Temple, who is eight years of age tomorrow, is the highest paid working woman in the world. Four films a year give her an income of 300,000 dollars. Royalties on various toys and her name on 150 other endorsements and commodities bring the total to over 500,000 dollars. Recently her mother refused to allow the child to make personal appearances for an offer of 10,000 dollars a week. 4*'
Each of Shirley Temple’s pictures brings the producer two or three million dollars profit.
