Waimumu GYMNASTIC CLUB
Mr J. B. Biondell presided over a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Waimumu Wrestling and Gymnastic Club which was held in the district hall. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the president said that there was a slight debit which was due to the heavy expenditure during the year. He congratulated the members on the loyal manner in which they had supported the club and extended thanks to the Gore and Edendale clubs for their exhibitions at Waimumu. He also wished to thank the wrestling instructor, Mr J. Eskdale, for the keen interest which he had shown in the class. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. Blondell; secretary, Mr D. Forbes; committee, Messrs J. Eskdale, R. Piert, G. Copland, L. Smith and J. Biondell jun. It was decided to hold practice nights on Thursdays.
