(Received April 20, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 19. De Hooch’s “Dutch Courtyard,” a work 18Jin by fetched £17,500 at a sale of Rothschild pictures at Sotheby’s. Peter De Hooch (1632-81) was a Dutch painter. His composition and drawing are masterly, and his colour cool and brilliantly luxurious. There are fine examples of his art in. the National Gallery, London, and the Rijks Museum, Amsterdam.
