KAREPO HELD UP
DECKHANDS REFUSE TO TAKE SHIP OUT OF PORT (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 20. A dispute involving deckhands who refused to take a ship out of port resulted in the Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial cargo vessel, Karepo being held up at Dunedin tonight. A conference between dissatisfied members of the crew and the local agents was held during the evening but details of the dispute were not made public. Until a settlement is reached or new deckhands are signed on the ship will be unable to sail.
