MARLENE DIETRICH TO BE NATURALIZED
UNEXPECTED APPLICATION (Received March 7, 6.30 pm.) LOS ANGELES, March 5. Marlene Dietrich, the film actress, appeared unexpectedly before the Federal Court and signed the first papers to become an American citizen. She took the oath of allegiance and will become eligible for citizenship in two years. She gave her legal name as Maria Magdalene Sieber. She was born in Berlin on January 27, 1904.
