PROPOSALS FOR ITS REORGANIZATION (United Press Association) TIMARU, March 5. Speaking at Pleasant Point the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P. for Timaru, and national president of the New Zealand Labour Party, stated that the Parliamentary Select Committee on Edlucation, of which he was chairman, was engaged under the instructions of the Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) in drafting proposals based on the recommendations of the “Atmore Report” for the reorganization of the educational system. These proposals, having been submitted to the educational authorities, would later be placed before the Select Committee as a whole, when further evidence would Ibe caled. A consolidation and amending Bill would then be introduced in Parliament It was thus hoped to expedite the passing of the measure during the next session.
