AUCKLAND FISHERMEN’S DISPUTE
AGREEMENT AMONG EXPORTERS UNDERSTOOD. (United Press Association.) Auckland, October 20. The parties in the seine net fishermen’s dispute met to-day in the Conciliation Council, the commissioner (Mr R. E. Price) presiding. After a discussion the meeting was adjourned until to-morrow. It is understood that the dealers interested in the export trade to Australia have come to an agreement to eliminate competition and price cutting on the Australian market, possibly by giving one Auckland firm a monopoly of the export trade, so that they may be able to pay the fishermen 2d a lb for the schnapper, as the fishermen are demanding.
