FIRE AT BASE OF STATUE OF LIBERTY
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) New York, October 16. Seventy military police in a fire boat took an hour to extinguish a fire in the two-story building at the base of the Statue of Liberty at dawn to-day. The statue was undamaged, and the torch remained shining throughout.
