CHARGE OF BREAKING AND ENTERING
FIRE ESCAPE CLIMBED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. (United Press Association.) Auckland, September 21. In the Supreme Court, Robert John Dias, aged 29, who climbed a fire escape in broad daylight and entered the warehouse of Ross and Glendining, pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking, entering and theft. “Drink is the cause of the trouble,” said Mr F. W. Schramm for the prisoner. Mr Justice Johnston sentenced the accused to six months’ imprisonment.
