REMOVAL FROM OFFICE
MEETING SUPPORTS CR HODGENS. (United Press Association.) Palmerston North, Sept. 21. A large meeting of residents was held when Cr J. Hodgens M.P. stated his case in reply to the resolutions of the Palmerston North City Council removing him from the deputy-Mayoralty and membership of two council committees.
A resolution was passed requesting the council not to put its decisions into force, but to reconsider them. A petition was also circulated supporting this resolution.
