GIFT AFTERNOON
A gift afternoon was held in the Presbyterian Church Hall in aid of the Busy Bee bazaar. Miss L. McKenzie contributed songs and a competition was won by Miss McKenzie. Mrs Allan of the Bolivia mission, spoke during the afternoon. PERSONAL Miss I. Christie has returned from a holiday at Otautau. Mrs J. Robbie is the guest of Mrs W. Brown, Gropers Bush. Mrs A. McArthur, Gore, and Mrs Ross, Menzies Ferry, were visitors to Woodlands for the Craig—Burt wedding. Mrs J. Swale, Dacre, has returned from a holiday visit to her mother Mrs Cooper, Timaru. Mrs Bryant, Glenorchy, has been the guest of Mrs P, Kennet. Miss E. Lightfoot has been holidaying with Miss Morton at Seaward Downs. CARD. TOURNAMENT
A card tournament was held in the Anglican Hall. Prizes were won by Mrs J. Hannan and Mr L. McHardy. Consolation prizes were won by Miss Z. Tressider and Mr L. Walker.
