The annual Wairio Jockey Club ball was held in the new hall at Wairio last week. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs T. Genge, Mr and Mrs S. Collie, Mr and Mrs H. Bell, Mr and Mrs J. A. Everett, Invercargill, has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs A. Keen. Miss M. Egan, Invercargill, has been a visitor to Wairio. At the annual meeting of the Wairio Tennis Club Miss M. Pope was presented with a small token and a complimentary member’s ticket in recognition of her services to the club.
