BRITAIN’S ATTITUDE CRITICIZED
FRENCH POLICY IN SYRIA AS EXAMPLE
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.40 p.m.) London, September 17. The Jerusalem correspondent of The Times says that local meetings are being held in Palestine to-day tp consider how to end the strike and the campaign of violence, which the Higher Arab Committee feels unable to do without their consent.
The Arabs are also making comparisons between France’s treatment of Syria and Britain’s treatment of Palestine. The Higher Arab Committee even sent a message congratulating the Syrian delegation to Paris on securing the new treaty and lauding France as a friend of oppressed peoples. MORE TROOPS LEAVE FOR PALESTINE LINER NALDERA SAILS. (British Official Wireless.) . Rugby, September 16. The liner Naldera sails .to-day from Southampton with a further detachment of reinforcements for Palestine. -The troops include the 2nd Battalion of the Cameronians from Borden Camp, the headquarters staff of the Ist Infantry Brigade, the Royal Army Ordnqnce Corps from Aidershot and the headquarters staff of the sth Divisional Signals from Scarborough.
