ROSEHILL MEETING A NEW ZEALAND WIN (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Sydney, June 14. The Rosehill Racing Clubs June meeting was held yesterday and attracted a good attendance. One event was credited to a New Zealand-bred performer, while several gallopers the Dominion secured place money. The winner was the youngster colt Omarere, ridden by M. McCarten, who thus added to his formidable total of successes on two-year-olds in Australia this season. The youthful Maorilander was prepared by G. Price. The details of the race referred to are as follows:— JUVENILE STAKES (handicap), of £l5O. Second £25, third £lO from the prize. For two-year-olds. Seven furlongs. —Second Division.— R. J. MOONEE VALLEY MEETING JACK HORNER WINS AGAIN. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Melbourne, June 14. At the Moonee Valley Racing Club’s June meeting yesterday the V.R.C. Grand National Steeplechase candidate, El Damaroyal, won the Travancore Steeplechase (about two miles, three and a-half furlongs) in most attractive fashion, in course record time. The winner has the minimum weight (9.0) in the Grand National. The principal flat race of the afternoon was won by the New Zealand-bred and owned Jack Horner, who has been very successful of late in Victoria. The leading results were as follows:— TRAVANCORE STEEPLECHASE, of £5OO. Second £lOO, third £5O from the stake. About two miles and a half furlong. B. Stockdale’s b. g. Tanwan, has been suspended from riding for six months, the stewards’ finding being that he had not allowed his mount to run on her merits at the Albion Park races here on June 6. Tanwan explained that the horse was left at the barrier, after which he did not seriously attempt to go after the field. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN MEETING THE RIFF’S NARROW WIN.
