SIR GEORGE HUNTER’S ESTATE

PAYMENT OF INTEREST TO LEGATEES. (United Press Association.) Wellington, June 12. In a reserved judgment, Mr Justice Smith to-day held that the legatees in the estate of the late Sir George Hunter were entitled to interest at 5 per cent, per annum and also that the residuary estate was liable for the payment of estate and succession duty. To enable further consideration of the question of the allocation of payments of the interest to the residuary income or capital and other questions outstanding, the summons was adjourned.
