Nightcaps TOWN BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Nightcaps Town Board was held to discuss the estimates for the year ending March 31, 1937. There were present: Messrs W. Excell (chairman), F. Boyle, B. Rushton, E. Mason, F. Klemick, T. Thomson and J. C. Wilson. The following estimates were adopted: — Expenditure.—Salaries and wages, £403 5/-; Main Highways, £150; children’s playing area, £B5; streets and paths, £4O; street lighting and repairs, £54; Sealing footpaths, £3O; Manse drain, £3O; Valli’s drain, £5; printing and advertising, £22 8/9; insurances, £l2 18/2; Bank charges and interest, £l5 10/-; material, £l5; valuation fees, £3 18/-; audit expenses, £24- dog tax collars and commission, £l2 3/9; ranger, £l2; hall, lighting and repairs,’£99; election expenses, £9 12/6; legal expenses, £l5; Hospital and Charitable Aid rates, £54 12/-; Health Department, £8 10/-; refuse and sanitary, £80; licensing expenses £2 18/-; office expenses, £22 12/-; petty expenses, £lO 10/-; dangerous goods, £1 5/-; incidentals, £5; repairs dwellings, £76; interest on loans, £64 2/-; sinking fund, £62 12/-. Income.—Rates, £499 14/11; Main Highways, £ll3 18/2; Government subsidy, £46; refuse and sanitary fees, £250 10/-; house rents, £9B 16/-; hall rents, £177 10/-; picture revenue £100; material, £23; dog tax, £24; power board, £1 13/-; Wallace County, half rates, £3; licences, £74 15/-; heavy traffic licences, £45 16/9; traffic fee (percentage), £3 2/6. A credit balance of £59 13/10 is estimated at March 31, 1937.
