VISIT TO BORSTAL INSTITUTION
WORKERS’ EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION. Members of the Invercargill branch of the Workers’ Educational Association visited the Borstal Institution on Saturday evening. The visitors were introduced by the superintendent, Mr R. W. Arnold. Mr S. G. August, who led the party, introduced the play readers, and gave a brief outline of the plays, which included “Mr Sampson,” “Love in the Ape House” and “Just a little bit of life.” Those who took part were Misses Matheson, Hunter, Tannock and Swale and Messrs Swift, O’Toole, Stead and Robinson.
