FUNERAL AT UNUSUAL HOUR

SERVICE JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT. (Per United Press Association.) Ashburton, February 10. A funeral service was held at an unusual hour this morning, when members of the railway staffs assembled just after midnight to pay <their last respects to Alexander Sligo, a shunter who died yesterday. The service at the house was conducted by the Rev. R. S. Watson, a Presbyterian minister, prior to the body being placed on the night express for Dunedin. _____
