LODGE MEETINGS
COURT SOUTHERN PRIDE JUVENILE FORESTERS. The monthly meeting held in St. Aiden’s Parish Hall was presided over by C.R. Bro. W. Bennie, there being a large attendance of members and adult officers. Only two members qualified for attendance prizes for the year, not having missed a meeting. After the meeting the adults entertained the juveniles with games, etc., for which good prizes were given. COURT SOUTHERN A.O.F. The fortnightly meeting was held in St. Aiden’s Parish Hall on Thursday. C.R. Bro. D. J. Smith presided over a large attendance of members and visitors. One candidate was initiated into the Order. P.C.R. Bro. L. W. Hitch, of Court Pride of Oamaru, on behalf of Court Southern, presented Bro. W. Feaver with a Past Chief Ranger’s certificate and collar. He paid tribute to the efficient manner in which Bro. Feaver had carried out the duties attached to the various chairs. Bro. Feaver suitably replied. The visitors’ toast was replied to by Bro. Driver, Court Star of the South, and by P.C.R. Bro. Hitch, Oamaru. After routine business a mock Christmas banquet took place in the social hall, where an enjoyable evening was spent by toasts (mostly humorous), songs and stories.
