EXCHEQUER RETURNS
REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, November 5. The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue, excluding selfbalancing items, amounts to £350,174,357 compared with £333,046,439 at the corresponding date last year. The total inland revenue is £138,525,000 against last year’s £132,208,000, while receipts from Customs and excise total £lBO,541,000 against £173,743,000 for the same period last financial year. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, is £431,979,795 compared with £414,653,559 at the corresponding date in 1934.
