MODEL OF MONS BELFREY.

With impressive military ceremonial in the presence of Prince Charles of Belgium, the British Ambassador, Sir Esmond Ovey, accepted on behalf of King George a poppy-wreathed silver model of Mons belfrey weighing eight pounds and containing consecrated earth from the graves of British soldiers. It was a jubilee gift to his Majesty from Allied ex-servicemen and the local populace.
