RESTORATION OF SIGHT
REMARKABLE OPERATIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, November 2. Two remarkable cornea grafting operations carried out at the central London ophthalmic hospital early last month have proved so successful that both patients, one of whom has been blind since birth and the other for 28 years, are expected to recover their sight. In the case of the man born blind, the substitution of visual perception for sense of touch will probably take some time, but he has already been able to count his fingers and distinguish colours.
